Zomato CEO kicked out by Swiggy!
Swiggy lately has sponsored the new Shark Tank India season for almost 3 million USD. Swiggy ensured to put it as a condition for the sponsorship that Goyal needs to be out of Shark Tank India.
Swiggy looks at Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato as a rival which led to them taking this step.
Deepinder reacted to this step taken by Swiggy by saying
“ I felt it was my moral obligation to go there once… but I, unfortunately, can’t go back because Swiggy sponsored Shark Tank this time and kicked me out, at least that’s what I heard.”
Below is how the internet has reacted to the situation.
Some even referenced a Shark Tank India participant who was rejected by Goyal in one of the seasons of the show, for having 9 phone digits instead of 10.
Some are even considering as a smart move by Swiggy.
The havoc created by this rivalry will lead to an increase in viewership of the upcoming season of Shark Tank India.
